March, 2019

Thankfully the flu that Jack caught at the end of February did not last long, and no one else got sick! Just days after he was room-bound, we headed out to Steamboat Springs for our first family ski trip. The weather was not with us, and we had to drive through a massive storm which led us to detour our route up through Wyoming. It was a harrowing drive, we saw many cars in ditches, but we made it!

We were thankful to experience three beautiful days of skiing on fresh powder. All the kids started in ski lessons:

Jack was the first to join us on the "big" slopes. He did great!

The fresh powder and snow on the trees was amazing!

We made several stops for bloody mary's and sodas at the lodge:

Then, it was Lily's turn to join us on the big slopes!

She also did great!

On the last day, we also took Josie up and the whole family was able to ski together

Jack had his first experience in a tree well, but we were thankful to wonderful helpers to pull him out

Successful trip and no injuries!

A favorite hangout at Carls

The long days of skiing were a lot for Josie

The rest of March, was back to business as usual with work around the clock. Many events that the kids helped me at:

And of course, no month is complete without a few makeup adventures:
