We were lucky enough to enjoy another beautiful Easter! On Saturday we took the kids to City Park for a community Easter event. The kids had a blast doing all the games. Josie was just happy with her candy
Jack and Lily were thrilled to see the Easter bunny. I couldn't get Josie to get near him/her!
This was a huge event and they had 20,000 eggs for the kids. Each age range had its own section of eggs. This was the section for 1-2 year olds:
It was so hard to keep the little ones away from the eggs! And then when they finally did the count down, it was a mad dash and all the eggs were gone in less than 2 minutes.
Lily was in the 4-5 year old group and i wasn't able to see her once the countdown happened. However, I did see her in the newspaper later that day!
After the craziness of that Easter event, we headed across the street to let the boys fish. It was a lucky day for Jack and he caught many fish!
On Sunday, we woke up super early to go to the 7:00am Easter service. Afterwards we hid some eggs in our backyard
Our neighbor (Lee) joined in the egg hunt with us
Then we had plans to go with friends to go to a brewery for an adult egg hunt. It was so unbelievably crowded that we wanted to just leave. But we stuck it out and it turns out that adults are worse than kids at egg hunts. So many adults stole the eggs before the allowed time. And there were so many people there that there was really no way for us to even compete.
My parents had the smarter idea to go to a brewery with no Easter events
After the brewery, we all came back to our house for Easter dinner. We got to try out our new game "Spikeball"
And it was so hot that the kids even made themselves a little pool
