The tornado that wasn't

Last weekend we visited our county fair. The best part about the fair is the Gnarly Barley Brew Festival that is held during the daytime which makes the fair/rides afterwards much more bearable.

Lily, Jack and Papi at the beer festival
The weather started turning cloudy around 3pm, so we decided to head over to the fair and get some rides in before the rain came. Unfortunately the rain came much faster and harder than expected. You can see in the picture below the skies were already turning grey.
Less than 10 minutes after that picture, the storm hit hard. The wind and the rain came so fast and furious that everyone started running for cover. Luke was the first to take off running and Jack was able to catch up to him, but Lily and I were straggling behind. Here is a video showing the chaos and all the people running out of the fair. Ignore my screaming as I was trying to get Luke to slow down so I could put Lily in the stroller too.
Thankfully the storm didn't do much damage other than give us a good scare and a good drenching. But 10 miles east of us was hit with hail and destroyed many roofs, including some friends of ours.
