We started the week off great by meeting friends for ice cream and then the adults got a "treat" at the brewery.
I think the summer fun is exhausting the kiddos. They sleep in like never before. At some point in the night, Lily climbs into bed with us and Josie sleeps with us as well so it makes for a crowded bed. But once Luke and I are up for the morning, the girls are left to cuddle.
Chick Fil A had its yearly "Cow Appreciation" day this week. So we all dressed up like cows and got free meals.
After eating Chick Fil A, we headed to Princess Storytime with Lily's friends. Jack wasn't too thrilled to be there...

When we are at home I try to limit the kids screen time as much as possible. Jack and Lily have workbooks that they work through and they do lots of coloring. Our dining room table is a constant mess:
The kids love to draw pictures every morning for Luke to take to work that day. Here is Lily's picture that she said is dog faces:
And Jack's picture for Luke:
One day we met friends at the splash park and ended up taking Lily's friend home with us for an impromptu play date. The girls spent their time singing Disney songs and dancing.
Jack and Lily also made rocket ships out of cardboard. They took Josie for a ride in one of the rocket shipsOn Saturday we went to the city Water Carnival. I brought my new umbrella to test out and it worked great!
They had big bounce houses with water spraying down them to make them even faster and more dangerous
The kids were thrilled
There were several games throughout the day and the first one was this rubber ducky race that Jack won
He was thrilled to win a free ice cream... Lily, not so much
They tried other games like musical chairs
Finally Lily won her own free ice cream
