4th of July in Steamboat

We went up to Steamboat Springs for 4th of July again this year. I absolutely love this place in the summer.

The drive is three and a half hours with no stops... but it usually takes us 5 hours. We stopped in Walden for a quick pizza lunch

Finally arrived at the condo!

Riding scooters at the resort

Luke and Ron mountain biking:

One day we took the kids to visit the hot springs. It was very family friendly and all the kids loved it!

Except for the 30 minutes we had to get out of the water when lightening was spotted

But that storm passed and we spent the rest of the time in water

The kids had fun on the watersides

And there was an obstacle course as well

Back at the condo we played card games with my parents and friends

Another day we visited Stagecoach reservoir. The girls played on the beach with Luke, and I was able to bike ride around the reservoir with Ron & Sue

In the evenings, we visited some breweries

One morning my mom and I took the kids to play in the stream at the resort. Probably one of the most beautiful places in Colorado

Outside the condo is a small pool/hot tub. The water is like a warm bath, the kids love it!

On the 4th, we tubed down the Yampa. Lily and I rented tubes and Luke and Jack used Jack's little raft

It was so much fun!
That night the fireworks show had been cancelled because of fires in the area. So instead we went to a few more breweries. Then we had the episode of Josie showing us her pole dance

After that we went for a short hike to a waterfall. We found a snake on the trail and the kids got to see it up close... even got to see it poop on Josie!

At the waterfall

The next morning we had to pack up and say goodbye
