Lily turns four!

I love the 4th birthdays. It seems like it is the first year where they really get excited about their birthday. Lily had been talking about her 4th birthday ever since Jack's birthday back in June. She would talk about all the different things she wanted to do for her birthday. Some of her ideas were to have a kitty cat party, to just take the money and go shopping, to have a tea party, etc. Finally she decided that she wanted to do a cheerleader party. It worked out great since she loves her Broncos dress and the weekend of her party was also a Broncos game weekend.

A couple weeks before her party, Lily sent the Broncos a drawing and asked them to send her some stickers for the party (they did).
Her actual birthday was during a week day and Nani took Lily on her very own shopping spree. Here is Lily when she got home going through all her clothes
Trying on some new outfits
She loves to pose
That night we celebrated with a her requested dinner (broccoli cheddar soup) and cupcakes
Then, Sunday morning we had her party. We decorated the house
Lily got her Broncos dress and Broncos face paint on
Lily chose a Rapunzel cake
Food was ready
During the party Jack was the official nail painter. He painted all the girls nails in Broncos colors
While Jack painted nails, a couple of the older girls painted faces

We also had a craft station to decorate goodie bags

Lily and some of her friends
All the kids dancing
More dancing

There were a couple older girls there who took it upon themselves to keep the kids entertained by creating various games
We also had a bounce house
And pom poms for everyone
And the water bead table was a huge hit

Bounce house fun!

I think Lily and all her friends had a blast. It was a great day! However, parties are a lot of work so I already told Lily that next year she just needs to take the money that we would spend on a party and go shopping!

When all was said and done though, it was a special day for Lily and I really hope she'll remember it. Here she is after the party with her new vanity (thanks Nani & Papi), in one of her new dresses with her new jewelry boxes. What a little princess!
