Jack's birthday and Father's Day fell on the same weekend this year. We decided to combine them to make one fun weekend for everyone!
For Father's day the kids make a life-size sketch of Luke and wrote in all the things they love about him. Jack also wanted us to make one of him for his birthday so we did that too:
We got Luke a small tent for Father's day so he could go camping with the kids without having to set up our huge family tent:
Jack got to pick his birthday breakfast. Surprise, surprise ... he chose Chick Fil A
Then he got to open some presents, including a new fishing pole:
And bunch-o-balloons:
Then Nani and Papi took us all bowling
And then back to their house for dessert and more presents:
The next morning was Jack's main present. Waterworld!! It is his favorite place to go.
Just a side note about our little princess. Lily threw a huge fit that morning because she did not want to wear her bathing suit. Instead, she wanted to wear her favorite dress and her high heels (that she got for now sleeping in her big girl bed). I tried to explain that she had to wear her bathing suit at WaterWorld because we would be in the water all day. To which she replied "I don't want to go in the water, I just want to sit and look pretty"
Once at WaterWorld we got Lily out of her dress and into her bathing suit
Everyone had a blast
Jack is tall enough to go on some fun rides now and I was excited to finally be able to join him (I missed all the fun rides last year since I was pregnant). I loved watching him bounce around in excitement and hearing him exclaim "This is the best day of my life!!" "They shouldn't call it WaterWorld, they should call it AwesomeWorld because this is AWESOME!"
Jack's best buddy Will also has a June birthday so he met us at WaterWorld
The three amigosJosie is pooped out already
Instead of a birthday cake, we had birthday dippin' dots.
Happy Birthday Jack and Happy Father's Day Luke! It was a great day!
