Summer is still going great! I can't even believe how busy I am trying to juggle all three kiddos at home, exercising and keeping up with my normal chores, plus planning fun things to do. By the end of the day we are all wiped. In fact the kids have been so tired they sleep in each morning (they used to be up bright and early).
During week 2 of summer we had several fun outings. One was Super Hero Night at Chick Fil A. The kids dressed up in their spiderman costumes and Chick Fil A put on a huge party. There was face painting:
Fire Engines
And free ice creams:
Speaking of ice cream, Luke's work hosted their summer party last week as well. They provided free food, beer and banana splits. Here is Lily getting her ice cream:
They even had a petting zoo:
And several bouncy things

Josie and her sweet face:
Jack and Lily got to try running in the bubble
One funny anecdote I wanted to mention. There was this trampoline thing Jack really wanted to go on. It was so hot outside when we got there that I told him to save it for the end of the night when it was cooler because I didn't want to stand in the hot sun with Josie for the hour long line. Well, at the end of the night we got in line. The line was moving really slowly. After being in line for 30 minutes it was apparent that we would not make it before they closed the party down. Jack decided to sneak up and cut in line. He did it so stealthily that Luke and I didn't even notice and the people Jack cut in front of didn't notice:
I was debating pulling Jack out of line since he cut, but then I also thought he was pretty smart since those people weren't even paying attention. Luke and I just decided to wait it out and see what happened. Twenty minutes later Jack was at the front of the line:
Then they shut the ride down.
Poor guy cried and cried and cried. But it was a good teaching moment to remind him that cheaters never win.
One evening we decided to go to our local swimming pool. The kids were so exhausted from the days activities that they all fell asleep on the way to the pool:
But as soon as they saw the pool, all the energy came back
Josie got her bottom right tooth in last week. After three days of 104 degree temperature! It was an awful three days
Another day we went out for slurpies and then to Ft. Fun
Riding the slides at Ft. Fun
Golfing at Ft. Fun
Over the weekend our city hosted a "Get Outdoors Day." I took the kiddos so Luke could have some time to work on his car.
They painted rocks
And hula hooped
On top of all the activities, the kids also have track three mornings a week. It is a hard class and they both HATE it. There is a lot of running involved so I don't blame them. But it's good for them so they have to do it.
Lily took several tumbles on the track and scraped up her knees and elbows. So now she will run with the coach holding her hand:
And we still have to get our shopping done during the week, which is usually no fun with three kiddos...except when the store has carts like this:
And we also had two pool parties with friends. The first one was a cloudy day and I didn't put sunscreen on the kids quick enough. Poor Jack fried his back. It is the first time he has had a burn that peeled.

The second pool party was at night and it was great fun!
Phew! All that and I didn't even mention the hours of running and chores that happened behind the scenes. Now you can see why we are all exhausted. But having so much fun together!
