Vacation Part 4: Disneyland

Monday morning we were up bright and early for the much anticipated trip to Disneyland. Here we are ready to go at 7am in our matching shirts.

Lily wasn't tall enough to go on most of the fun rides, so we had to take turns taking Jack while the other hung back with Lily and Josie

Of course there were plenty of rides everyone could go on too

While Jack was in the long line for the Matterhorn, I took Lily to the Royal Hall to meet some princesses.

Then we met back up with everyone for more rides

Lily is modeling her new set of ears
 ....and she's out

Jack was finally big enough to go on Indiana Jones. He even got to drive!
And my favorite ride, Splash Mountain!

My cousin Acacia met up with us later that evening. Jack went with Acacia and Auntie Amanda to ride fun rides, while Luke and I hung back with the girls
We got ice cream and watched a parade
The last ride of the day was "It's a Small World"

As we got off the ride we caught the tail end of an amazing parade where the kids got to see all the characters and princesses waving at them
We finally headed back to our hotel after 11pm. Jack passed out on the walk back.

Just a few hours of sleep and we were up at 7am Tuesday morning, ready for Disney day two.

This day we hit up California Adventure. Lily wore her high heals and was able to get on most of the rides. She wanted to try Tower or Terror with me and Jack. Here they are before the ride pretending to be scared.
While we were waiting in line, Lily starting freaking out at the fake spiders and spider web decorations. When we got on the ride she was pretty brave and did great.
Once we got off the ride, Jack was so thrilled that he yelled "Lets do that AGAIN" and Lily broke down in tears "No, No, I don't want to do it again" Took her a while to get her courage up to go on more rides after that.

But there were plenty of characters to see in the meantime:

Lily was most excited to meet Elsa and Anna. Jack wasn't too thrilled at the idea, but he came along anyways
Meeting Elsa was the highlight of Lily's day

And Jack seemed to enjoy himself as well

Everyone got a kick out of Josie trying to walk
Even the camera man was trying to capture Josie's cuteness

During our short visit, Jack mentioned that he wanted to marry Elsa and she told him that she would go on a few dates with him when he is older. When we said goodbye, Elsa said "goodbye my love" to Jack. He would talk about this day for weeks to come.

I wanted to get a family picture here but couldn't find someone to take our photo, so here is just Luke and the kids instead.

Josie walking the streets of California Adventure
Luke and Jack on the rafting ride
Then it was my turn to ride with Jack
 He is a thrill seeker
Josie was happy to sit back and enjoy the scenery
And of course we couldn't avoid at least one meltdown. Lily's lasted at least an hour. She was so tired.
The kids got to see Lightning McQueen drive by

 Me and my girls
Here is a flashback to me and Lily at the same spot 3 years earlier
That night we met up with Timmy and Megan and the little boy they were babysitting. Lily was excited to have a friend to run around with

Another great ending to a fun day
Wednesday we hung out at the hotel pool in the morning. I had Lily pose in front of the play structure, not knowing that it was about to dump a ton of water on her.

Josie had fun playing in the baby pool

After swimming we spent the afternoon at Grammies farm

The girls had fun hanging out with Auntie Amanda
Wednesday night we had to make the drive up to Las Vegas. We stopped halfway and had dinner at In n Out
Jack barely made it through dinner. He was so tired...
